Vincent's Run/Walk was today...Well...I managed to get up at 5 am...not easy for a night owl like me!....Got all my facepainting supplys together, and headed out! The weather couldn't have been more gorgeous! There were SO MANY folks there, it was great! A great turn-out for a great cause!
It really is a family event, with parents and the kids running, and some fols walking and pushing strollers. It is such a rewarding thing to see so many people come out and support the effort to help to find a cure for children with Lukemia! Thanks to everyone ! - And PLEASE check my blog for my post about this worthy cause and annual family event! Thanks! :) |

I had a Cousin with Leukemia, she was really a beautiful girl, she had to eat tons of liver and hated it!! She died at 16, so you are doing a GREAT Work!!!

I don't have alot of money to give to the cause, but face-painting, to help bring in a little extra money, is one thing I can do. :)

Wow, that is so COOL Mary Mary! You are so giving; you are doing God's work, if you don't mind me saying. Supporting this effort is a GREAT cause! It's sad to see kids go through having Lukemia. It' sad to see anyone go through this disease. Thank you Mary Mary for all that you do!

Yeah it really is! The whole Diberdinis Family comes to this event, as well as many of Vincent's friends. - (Vincent would be 11 this year I believe). It is such an inspiration to see all of these wonderful people come together each year to celebrate Vincent, and to help others! - I'm not sure how much they pulled in this year, or how much I got in donations for the facepainting, (I usually charge three dollars for each painting - that way the little ones can contribute too), but I'm sure they will have the numbers on the website soon.
