Well I haven't followed up on our trip to the farm..so here it is...

The farm was great, and it was great to see everyone there! There are so many wonderful people who work there and volunteer! All dedicated to saving the pieces from The E. F. and to making kids smile, ( both young and young at heart)!

The food was great, the people even greater....no fireworks though,( partly due to the weather), but when we got home we watched on tv, and they even had some of the firework display sincronised to the theme music of The Pirates of The Caribbean! (YAY!) However, the weather, as I mentioned, was not quite as favorable...

It wasn't too bad at the farm really...there was rain, but it was off and on, and inbetween the downpours, we all walked around the farm, and enjoyed each other's company. But... while driving, we saw a strange cloud formation......one of those "anvil" type shapes...compleate with a swirling tail just below it! .....well it was high enough in the sky, and the swirls wern't too low or too pronounced, and I have never seen one "in person" so to speak, only on tv, but it looked just like the ones you see on the news, or in the documentary I saw on tornados and "storm chasers"....just like that movie.

...Welllllll, I said to my sis-in-law, who was with us, "do you see what I see?"......."Yes,....I do"...., she says back to me....all while we tried to remain calm......later it began pouring down in sheets and we just wanted to get home in one piece...lots of folks pulling over casue of virtually no visability....( yipes!)

We get home to dicover on the news, that the cloud was indeed a tornado, and had actually touched down near the area where we were driving through.
