Well - it's now passed the grandparents generation and has gone to the parent's generation -
A class mate of mine's father passed away this past friday from a long fight with cancer. - although I know it happens to all of us, and I am quite familiar with reality, thank you, it seems so strange to me that this is happening...doesn't seem quite real - or that it shouldn't be real - not yet anyway. I'll be going to the viewing tonight, or what is now called "visitation" ,(that seems like an dd word to use to me, but I guess you are visiting with the family, in reality),...kinda putting off getting ready, this will be hard to do, but even harder for my friend. So I'll go and I'll be there - for her and her family. The good news, and the other part of the reality in this - we know where he is, and that he is no longer in any pain - you hear people say this all the time, but in this case we know it is true. Thank you Mr. E for welcoming me and my family into your home, and sharing your family with me, and your testimony through the example of your life. :| |
