I went to my friend's father's memorial service this morning...Jesus Loves me....was sung at the graveside. They are a Christian family, and everyone in the family knows how to play an instrument. Their home was alsways filled with music. It was a song that the family sang together with him at his bedside before he passed away. I've always loved this song and taken great comfort in it - but I don't remember ther being other verses to it. Here is the song in it's entirety:

Thank you Egg - It's a fave of mine too - I often hum it when I'm dealing with something overwhelming, to remind myself that I am not alone, and that The Lord God is with me - always.
- And ironically I have often thought it is one song that I would definitely want sung at my own service.

I spent 12 years in Christianity... (long story) and this was a song I used to hum to myself most of the time... actually, I'm humming to it now putting my youngest to sleep. :-)

Yes it was a very nice service - A beautiful testiment to his life and how he lived it for The Lord - and two of his daughters and three of his grandchildren even played special pieces on their string instruments. It was so lovely.
