Well, nothing but ice and frrrrrrrrezin' rain here on the east coast!
- Lots of BIG branches falling from HUGE old trees! We lost power fo a while, and now it's back on(of course), but schools are closed for tomorrow, ( the local high school is being used as a shelter for those who need it). The ice did begin to melt this afternoon, and dropped off of everything in large sheets, brings branches with it. Thank The Lord we have a genorator and a wood stove. Not alot do. Earlier, before we lost our power, I was making something in the crock pot, but had to nix that and put the food in the freezer...( chicken going bad is not a good thing!). Well, hopefully the worst is over and we won't loose too many trees or plants in our gardens. Guess we'll all just have to "settle down for a long winter's nap"! Hope this finds everyone out there doing well, and staying warm! - I hear the storms are headed north, piling more onto already snowed - in/iced - in folks! - Prayers sent! -Mary, Mary |

We past a school parking lot.. it looks like a skating rink. One huge sheet of ice. It'll be awhile before it gets warm enough to melt all this too!
Stay warm!

It took me over an hour to chisel the ice off my car today and that was with it running with the defrost going full blast.

Wow! a few years back, there was a huge Ice storm where I lived and we were without electricity for like 5 days. Luckily we had a gas stove! Stay warm, chickie!
